1. Become aware of how you teach.
As a trained teacher - and after some time in teaching in the class room, having not only to do with your students, but with their parents and your superior/s - it can be draining and leading to
‘losing the spirit of teaching’.However, there is a way to revive & revitalise your spirit of teaching
in the sense of trying to look at teaching with a pair of fresh eyes.Raising your awareness of
‘what is going on in the room’ as well as
‘the in-between you and your students’ supports becoming aware. -

2. Reflect on how you teach.
Think about what is going on there.
Are there any recurring patterns?
ie. words of approval / disapproval you ‘use’?
In which way do you show up
in your ‘class room’
in front of your students.Are you energetic, bored, numbed, fed up or inspired, tired or loving ?
I invite you to inquire into the relationship of
‘how you show up’ in the class room
and
how this enables or disables your students from engaging with and learning from the content you had prepared to present that day. -

3. Improve the how you teach.
Having established the relationship of
‘how you show up in the classroom’
with
‘how your students learn’ -
ie creating a safe space for learning and
enabling development & growth,
you can implement your finding and experiment with your approaches.
